The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Deathgrip takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Deathgrip takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
O Sullivan cracks Deathgrip with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
O Sullivan lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Deathgrip moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
A good leg kick by O Sullivan.
O Sullivan throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Timmy O Sullivan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Deathgrip keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
O Sullivan sizes up Deathgrip with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

O Sullivan gets caught flat footed, as Deathgrip shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

O Sullivan has Deathgrip pulled in close to control his posture.
O Sullivan is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
O Sullivan slips a nice elbow through Deathgrip's hands, connecting with Deathgrip's forehead.

Deathgrip is trying to get back to full guard.
O Sullivan seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Deathgrip does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
O Sullivan thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Deathgrip's head.
Deathgrip tries to roll over but O Sullivan keeps him under control.
Deathgrip pushes O Sullivan off looking to stand but O Sullivan dives back in and keeps control.
O Sullivan missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
O Sullivan working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

O Sullivan has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Deathgrip is in trouble now - O Sullivan has advanced to mount!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
O Sullivan lands a big shot there that rocks Deathgrip but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
O Sullivan cracks Deathgrip with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
O Sullivan landing strikes from the mount and Deathgrip is in trouble!
O Sullivan pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Deathgrip is rocked!
A big strike lands for O Sullivan! That's really hurt Deathgrip and he's turned his back - O Sullivan keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! O Sullivan jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
