Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tatsuya Aoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Williams has chosen Big Bad Wolf by Duck Sauce as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Tatsuya Aoki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, David Williams!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Donatello Bradman and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams shoots in but Aoki avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Williams misses with a body shot.
Williams jabs at Aoki's body.
Aoki throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Williams swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
A big left from Williams misses.

Williams shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Aoki manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Williams stops Aoki from standing up.
Williams trying to control the position from guard on top but Aoki is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Aoki looking for a sweep. Not yet Aoki, not yet.
Williams in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Aoki escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Williams gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Aoki had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Williams defends it easily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Williams with a flurry of punches that miss.

Williams throwing strikes but missing.
Williams throws an elbow that misses. Aoki uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Williams's guard. Nice move by Aoki!
Williams trying to strike off his back.
Williams is trying to control the position but Aoki postures up.
Williams looking to hit a scissor sweep but Aoki is one step ahead there.
Aoki seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Williams wants to sweep but no luck.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Williams had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Aoki defends it easily.
Aoki engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Aoki has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Williams is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

We're going to have a standup here because Tatsuya Aoki wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Williams is trying hard to land a takedown here. Aoki sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Aoki closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Williams to the mat! Williams manages to get full guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Aoki is looking to take a break and control but Williams is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Williams is staying active underneath Aoki, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Aoki is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Williams has managed to free his arm - good work.

Aoki is working for a submission of some sort.
Aoki wants to lay and pray for a moment but Williams keeps working.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Williams tries to get to full guard but Aoki has control of the leg.
Aoki is looking to take a break and control but Williams is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Williams shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Williams was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Aoki tries to bench press Williams off him but Williams keeps the position.
Aoki is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Tatsuya Aoki overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Williams wants to lay and pray for a moment but Aoki keeps working.
Aoki is trying to get back to half guard.
Aoki can't do much from the bottom here.

Williams sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Aoki is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Aoki gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Aoki is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Williams's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Williams's back!
Williams trying to control the action but Aoki just sinks the hooks in.

Williams is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Aoki is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Williams is looking to work some ground and pound but Aoki has wrist control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Tatsuya Aoki.

Aoki doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Williams manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Aoki on his heels. He'll look to pass Aoki's guard now, I'm sure.

Aoki bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Williams's guard.

Williams controls Aoki momentarily but Aoki frees himself.
Aoki wants to control from the top but Williams keeps moving.

Williams escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Aoki gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Aoki wanted to stand there but Williams had control of the position.

Aoki avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Williams keeping moving, preventing Aoki from controlling successfully.

Williams throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
This has been an exciting period of action!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Williams has his foot on Aoki's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Aoki works his way back into a safe position though.

Aoki is working Williams over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

That was a close second round but I would say that Tatsuya Aoki will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Aoki throws a right hand that Williams ducks under and follows up with a left that Williams also avoids with ease.
Aoki doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Williams counters with a nice uppercut.
Williams throws a leg kick but Aoki sees it coming and moves out of range.
Aoki slips a jab and a cross from Williams.
Williams misses with a double jab.
Aoki throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A head kick misses from Aoki.
Aoki tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Williams was well out of range. Poor timing from Aoki.
David Williams seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Aoki is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Williams.
Williams lunges at Aoki with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Aoki's hand.
Aoki looks for a takedown but Williams sprawls well.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Williams.
Williams lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Williams scores with a jab to the body.

Aoki tries to bum rush Williams with a series of wild strikes but Williams uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Williams misses with a hook. Aoki ducked under it nicely.
Aoki misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Aoki.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tatsuya Aoki. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Aoki moves forwards but Williams connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Aoki avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Williams fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Aoki avoids it really well and circles away.

Williams throws a sloppy head kick and Aoki moves out of range easily.

Aoki lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Williams circles away quickly and effectively.

Aoki on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Aoki shoots in but no luck this time.
Aoki shoots for a takedown but Williams saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Aoki tries to pass the half guard into mount. Williams knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Williams is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Aoki pulls his head out easily.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Aoki in particular looking to stall.
Tatsuya Aoki is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Williams is not content to let Aoki control the position.

I would just about give that final round to David Williams.
I think Aoki has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
