Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mike Kellog (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stuart Mikado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stuart Mikado has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Mike Kellog's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mike Kellog!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Stuart Mikado!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Wagner Zegers and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kellog thows a leg kick but Mikado checks it
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Mikado fails with a takedown attempt.
Mikado shoots for a double leg takedown but Kellog sprawls well. He's pushed Mikado's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Mikado moves to clinch but Kellog breaks away

and Kellog counters with a single leg into guard. Mikado didn't expect that.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kellog controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Mikado is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Mike Kellog wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Mikado tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Kellog counters with a takedown into side control.
Kellog moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.

Mikado tries to hold on but Kellog pushes him away.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Mikado holds of for dear life.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Mikado moves into range and clinches up with Kellog.
Mikado tries to land a knee to the head but Kellog blocks with his arms.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Kellog is looking to control Mikado's arms but Mikado gets an underhook and turns him. Now Kellog has his back to the cage.
Mikado throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Mikado wants to stall.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mike Kellog dominated that round.

Mikado tries to clinch but Kellog is having none of it.
Mikado wants to clinch up but Kellog keeps it at a distance.

Mikado closes the distance and clinches.
Mikado lands an elbow that stopped Kellog in his tracks for a moment.
Kellog taking a breather.
Kellog is looking to control Mikado's arms but Mikado gets an underhook and turns him. Now Kellog has his back to the cage.

Mikado tries to pull guard but Kellog holds him up against the cage and eventually Mikado drops back down to his feet.

Mike Kellog has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Stuart Mikado.

Mikado pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

Kellog pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Kellog lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Mikado tries for a takedown but Kellog circles away easily

and Kellog counters with a single leg into guard. Mikado didn't expect that.
Kellog wants to control from the top but Mikado keeps moving.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Mike Kellog.

Mikado has closed the distance and engaged Kellog in a clinch.
Mikado tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kellog smiles and moves away.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kellog attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Mikado doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Mikado is breathing heavily.
Mikado moves forwards but Kellog connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Stuart Mikado seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kellog lands with a nice combination. Mikado backs away looking to recover.


It looks like Stuart Mikado has been cut.
Kellog getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Mikado takes one to the side of the head.


Mikado is rocked!
Kellog ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Mikado's jaw. Mikado's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Kellog does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:37 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Mike Kellog!
