Swarner kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Friends in Low Places . Gus Shamrock has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Bob Swarner's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Swarner. No joy for Shamrock on that attempt.

Swarner drops Shamrock with a beautiful combination! Shamrock stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Swarner is looking for the KO!

It looks like Gus Shamrock has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Shamrock on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Swarner. Swarner obviously looking to wear him down.
Shamrock shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Shamrock gets a clinch.
Shamrock swings wildly with an uppercut but Swarner uses good head movement to avoid it.
Shamrock is trying to drag Swarner to the mat but Swarner just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Bob Swarner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gus Shamrock.
Swarner blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Shamrock is looking for a takedown.
Shamrock has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Swarner after a bit of a struggle.
Shamrock drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Swarner gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Swarner is trying to break the clinch but Shamrock has him pressed against the cage.
Swarner wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Swarner wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Shamrock has him pressed against the cage.

Shamrock has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Swarner is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Shamrock breaks from the clinch.
Swarner cracks the inside of Shamrock's front leg.
Shamrock looks winded!

Swarner lands a big head kick that sends Shamrock tumbling to the mat! Swarner takes a step backwards and waves Shamrock back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Shamrock is rocked!

Swarner closes the distance and clinches.

Swarner is trying to force a seperation but Shamrock has the dominant position.
Shamrock seems to have recovered his senses.
Shamrock tries to pull guard but Swarner forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Shamrock changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Swarner fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Swarner lands with a shot to the body.
Swarner lands an uppercut, right on the button! Shamrock tumbles backwards into the cage, staring vacantly into space! He's got no idea where he is, who he is or what day it is... Poor guy.
