Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Doe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yuri Joel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Doe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yuri Joel!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, George Francis and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Doe drives through and clinches with Joel against the ropes.
Joel wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Doe dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the ropes.
A right handed body shot lands from Doe.
Joel is trying to break the clinch but Doe has him pressed against the ropes.

Joel has Doe pressed up against the ropes. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Joel pulls back from the ropes and twists to the side, sending Doe tumbling to the mat - Joel dives into Doe's guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Doe is looking for a triangle but Joel pushes his legs off easily.

Doe has control of Joel's left arm, preventing Joel from doing any damage.

Joel drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Doe dives on top into guard.
Joel should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Doe drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Doe jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Joel is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Doe advances position into side control!
Doe is looking to take a break and control but Joel is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Doe is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Joel knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Doe is trying to get an arm triangle but Joel is defending well.

Doe tries for a kimura but Joel is defending well.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Doe postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Doe wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Joel, who protects the arm well.

Doe is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Joel has escaped the position, nice work there.
Joel sneaks back into half guard.
Doe trying to pass the guard but Joel defending well.

Doe is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Joel is pressing down on Doe's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Doe forces his way into half guard.

Doe is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Joel has managed to free his arm - good work.
Doe will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Doe is trying to control the action in half guard but Joel is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Doe trying to mount his opponent but Joel defends it.

Joel tries to get to full guard but Doe has control of the leg.
Doe wants to pass the guard but Joel is defending well.

Doe is looking for a kimura but Joel is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Doe to get the leverage.
Joel wants to get back to his feet.
Joel is looking to improve his position.

Doe is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Joel defends it well.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Doe is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Joel doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Doe.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Doe is trying to control. Joel wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Doe dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Doe moves to clinch but Joel breaks away
and Joel makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Joel throws a hook but Doe avoids it easily.

Joel shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Doe is trying to defend but Joel finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Doe keeping hold of Joel's head, controlling as best he can.
Doe is looking for a sweep. Joel is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Doe is not content to let Joel control the position.
Joel is looking to pass Doe's guard but actually Doe recovers to full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Joel tries to free his leg and advance position but Doe is retaining full guard.
John Doe overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Joel got a little sloppy there for a moment and Doe has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Joel has managed to get both his arms back between Doe's legs - danger averted.

Doe pushes a forearm under Joel's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Joel is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). John Doe!
In his post fight interview, John Doe started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
