Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Connor Tsosie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Thomas Silver!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Tiny Johnson and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silver throws a lazy right hand but Tsosie sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Silver lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
It looks like Connor Tsosie has been cut.
Silver throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Tsosie.
Silver pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Good shot there by Silver.
Silver throws a body punch but Tsosie moves out of range.
Silver misses with a hook. Tsosie ducked under it nicely.
Tsosie is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Silver.
Tsosie looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Silver throws a jab but it's blocked by Tsosie.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Tsosie moves out of range of the strikes.
Silver cracks Tsosie with a right hand to the side of the head.
Silver misses with a hook.
Tsosie really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Silver loads up on a big right hand but Tsosie slips the punch.
Thomas Silver seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tsosie staying out of range there.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Tsosie uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Silver.
Tsosie slips a straight right by Silver.
Silver throws a right hand that misses
and Tsosie counters with a big head kick but Silver shrugs it off.
Silver connects with a right hand. Tsosie shakes it off.
Tsosie slips under a jab from Silver.
The fighters circle momentarily. Silver darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Tsosie is rocked!
Silver rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Tsosie moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
The fighters circling - Tsosie throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Tsosie scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Thomas Silver is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Tsosie is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Tsosie takes one on the button.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Silver misses with a looping left.
Silver misses with a straight right.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Tsosie slips a jab from Silver.
Silver pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Tsosie changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Silver looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Tsosie is working to tighten is grip on Silver's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Silver has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Tsosie is really squeezing tight and eventually Silver passes out! Tsosie breaks the hold and jumps onto the ropes to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Connor Tsosie!
Connor Tsosie looked relieved post fight as he said the following; 'I cannot be stopped!'.
