The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Jones.
Jones scores with a hook to the body. Siuta takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Siuta fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Jones looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Jones cracks Siuta with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Siuta drops his hands momentarily and Jones takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Siuta tries a head kick but it misses.

and Jones counters with a shoot takedown. Siuta fights it but they end up in guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Jones tries to free his leg and advance position but Siuta is retaining full guard.
