Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tony Gee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ice Cube (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cube comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Bow Down kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tony Gee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ice Cube!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Steve Smith and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gee takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.


It looks like Tony Gee has been cut.
Cube connects with a body shot.
Gee swings for the body but Cube moves out of range.
Gee just misses with a punch to the body.
Gee looks to score with a jab to the body but Cube is just out of range.
Cube checks the leg kick nicely there.

Cube throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Gee was covering up waiting for the punch and Cube finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Gee tries to strike from the bottom.
Gee is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Cube trying to control but Gee is working from the bottom.
Gee looking for a sweep. Not yet Gee, not yet.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Gee keeping moving, preventing Cube from controlling successfully.

Cube slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Gee tries to buck Cube off but Cube is having none of it.
Cube wants to control but Gee is keeping him busy.
Gee can't do much from the bottom here.
Gee tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Cube wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Gee is trying to control Cube's posture but Cube avoids it.

Cube wants to control but instead Gee manages to regain half guard.

Cube prevents Gee from improving his position.
Cube seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Cube is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Gee defends it well.

Cube is looking for submissions but instead, Gee has regained full guard.

Cube pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Gee is keeping the position for now.
Gee is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Cube manages to get to full guard.
Cube wants to get back to his feet but Gee passes into half guard.

Cube is looking to improve his position.
Cube is looking to control Gee's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Cube avoid being mounted?
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Gee frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ice Cube dominated that round.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Cube looking for a takedown here - he's got it.

Gee is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Gee lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Cube!

Gee with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Cube rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

Gee is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Cube is trying to control but can't.

Cube makes his way to full guard, as Gee worked for a kimura.

Gee tries to free his leg and advance position but Cube is retaining full guard.
Gee stops Cube from standing up.

Gee prevents Cube from getting back to his feet.

Cube had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Gee defends it easily.

Cube looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Cube is wriggling around but Gee manages to pass to half guard.
Cube is trying to stand back up but Gee is controlling him

Gee seems to be looking for submissions.
Cube tries to kick Gee off but Gee keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ice Cube showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!



Cube darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Cube throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Gee pushes Cube off and gets back to his feet.
Gee misses with a hook.

Gee rushes Cube and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Cube turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

Cube is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Gee knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Gee sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Gee is looking for a sweep. Cube is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Gee gets back to full guard.
Gee keeping moving, preventing Cube from controlling successfully.
Cube is pushing down on Gee's leg trying to pass to half guard. Gee is fighting to maintain full guard but Cube has managed to sneak the leg through.
Gee is pressing down on Cube's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Cube stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gee swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Cube wants to control from the top but Gee keeps moving.

Gee has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cube can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Cube must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Cube is stalling here. Gee is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Cube seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Gee has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Cube is looking for a sweep.
Cube is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Ice Cube is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Ice Cube wasn't active enough on the ground.
Cube avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Gee gets caught napping as Cube dives in and scores a takedown. Gee manages to retain guard.
Gee trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Cube seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Let's hope that Cube has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Tony Gee has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Gee escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Cube gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

And that's the end of the fight!
Ice Cube comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Cube winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
