The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burns has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Eyj.
No luck for Eyj with that takedown attempt.
Burns tries to close the distance and clinch but Eyj swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
A solid leg kick lands there for Burns.
Eyj thumps Burns with a low kick.

Eyj is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Burns can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Burns fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Eyj.

Eyj is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Burns is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
