Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Stephen Cerrone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cody Funke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Funke has chosen never gonna stop as his entrance music. Cody Funke will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

With a record of 19 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Cody Funke!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Paulo Santos and Leandro Rodrigues.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cerrone slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Funke scores with a one two! Cerrone had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Cerrone might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Funke is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Cerrone pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Funke has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cerrone can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Cerrone drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Funke manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Cerrone has Funke in his guard.

Cerrone tries to clinch up but Funke circles away and keeps his distance.
Cerrone rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Funke moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

That was a close second round but I would say that Stephen Cerrone will probably get the nod.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Stephen Cerrone.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Cerrone, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
