The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Paul Tew and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hardy shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hancock pinned against the cage. Hancock gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
A big left from Hardy misses.
Some wild striking there from Hancock.
Hardy tries to clinch up but Hancock circles away and keeps his distance.
No luck for Hardy with that takedown attempt.
Hancock fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Hardy to the ground. Hancock is now in Hardy's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hancock shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Hancock was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
