Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Lord Humungus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rex Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Humungus comes to the cage accompanied by My Speech. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Humungus misses with a low kick.
Brown fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Humungus tries a head kick but it misses.

Humungus darts in and clinches Brown up against the cage.

Humungus turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Humungus creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Brown is looking to reverse the position.

Humungus goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Brown has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Humungus but great work by Brown.

Brown wants to stand but Humungus has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Humungus tries to land a sweep but no joy.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

and Humungus decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Brown's guard.
Brown looks gassed!

Humungus postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Humungus working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Humungus stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Brown swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Humungus lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

and Humungus counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Brown's guard now.

Humungus connects with a nasty looking knee right to Brown's face.
Humungus throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Brown blocks it with crossed arms.
Brown tries to break the clinch but Humungus is controlling the position.
Brown on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Humungus misses with a knee to the head.
Brown fails to pull guard.
Humungus keeps control of Brown as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Humungus misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Brown.
Brown is trying to stall.
Humungus lands a knee to the head.

Humungus creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Humungus drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Brown gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Brown wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Humungus using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Brown has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Brown drops down looking for an ankle pick but Humungus pulls his leg out and moves away.

and Humungus counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Brown's guard now.
Lord Humungus has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rex Brown.
Humungusis looking to pass into half guard but Brown pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Brown is in guard.
Humungus manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Brown manages to get himself to full guard.
Humungus keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Brown's head.
Humungus has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Humungus has gone for a leg lock! Brown slips out almost immediately though and dives into Humungus's guard.
Brown distracts Humungus with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Brown postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Humungus pushes a forearm under Brown's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Brown is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
