Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jordan Henderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jerry Grapist (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Grapist has chosen Know Your Enemy by Rage Against the Machine as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jordan Henderson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jerry Grapist!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Skip Squint and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grapist doesn't manage to clinch there - Henderson circles away.
Grapist thows a left - swing and a miss!
Grapist takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Grapist pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Grapist takes one to the side of the head.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Henderson jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Grapist shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Henderson as he jumps to the side.
Grapist tries to clinch up.
Henderson scores with a jab to the body.
Henderson jabs at Grapist's body.
Grapist throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Henderson stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
A head kick misses from Grapist.
Grapist throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Henderson sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Henderson misses with a low kick.
Henderson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Grapist.
Grapist on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Grapist shoots for a double leg takedown but Henderson sprawls well. He's pushed Grapist's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Henderson looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Grapist!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Henderson connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Grapist some visible discomfort.

Henderson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Grapist keeps working.
Grapist is trying to improve his position.

Henderson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Henderson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Grapist wants to get back to his feet.
Henderson looks up at the clock and then as Grapist takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Henderson smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Grapist takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Henderson decides to stand back up.
Henderson fails to land with a series of punches.
Grapist tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Henderson lands with a nice body punch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Henderson lands with an uppercut that bounces Grapist off the cage and back into range.
Grapist moves in looking to clinch but Henderson pushes him off.
Henderson throws a low kick but Grapist avoids it.
Grapist takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Henderson swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Some wild striking there from Henderson.
Grapist misses the jab.
Grapist shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Henderson pinned against the cage. Henderson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Jordan Henderson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jerry Grapist.
Henderson shoots in but no luck this time.
Henderson defending well as Grapist loads up on a big left hand.
Henderson steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Grapist.
Henderson lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Henderson throws a head kick that misses.

Henderson throws a wild body kick that Grapist sees coming a mile off.
Henderson scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Grapist fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Henderson avoids it really well and circles away.
Grapist takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Henderson jabs Grapist to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Henderson moves out of range of the strikes.
Grapist dives in and grabs Henderson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Henderson pushes down on Grapist's head and hops out.
Grapist looks winded!
Grapist walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Henderson connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Grapist's hands.

Henderson throws a leg kick but Grapist checks it.
Grapist missing with a left hand there. Henderson was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Grapist throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Henderson connects with a jab.

Henderson throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Grapist was covering up waiting for the punch and Henderson finishes the takedown easily into guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Henderson throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Grapist works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Henderson wants to control from the top but Grapist keeps moving.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Grapist is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Henderson is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Henderson content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Henderson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Grapist looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Grapist tries a head kick but it misses.

Grapist shoots in for a takedown but Henderson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Grapist avoids the head kick by Henderson.
Grapist avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Henderson moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Henderson lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Grapist shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

A bone on bone clash there as Grapist blocks the leg kick.
Grapist throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Henderson counters with a series of strikes. Grapist will be more careful next time no doubt.

Grapist is trying desperately to land a takedown but Henderson is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Grapist.

Henderson sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Grapist is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Henderson content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

The strikes coming from Henderson are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Henderson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Grapist keeps working.

Henderson wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Grapist, who protects the arm well.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Grapist is trying to control Henderson's posture but Henderson avoids it.

Grapist wants to get back to his feet but Henderson drags him back down.

Grapist takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Henderson's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Henderson misses with a straight right.
Henderson is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Grapist can do to turn this around?

Henderson shoots in looking for a takedown. Grapist tries to sprawl out of it but Henderson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Grapist manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Grapist fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Henderson manages to avoid it.
Grapist throws an overhand right that lands on Henderson's shoulder, as Henderson tries to avoid the shot.

Henderson cracks Grapist with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Henderson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Henderson showed some decent athleticism there.

Henderson stands up and beckons Grapist to join him on the feet.
Henderson lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Grapist displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Henderson.

Henderson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Henderson moves away from the strike by Grapist.
Henderson ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Grapist throws a lazy right hand but Henderson sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

A jab from Henderson does it's job there.
Grapist misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Grapist takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Henderson shoots in and drives through. Grapist sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jordan Henderson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Grapist lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Henderson scores with a jab. Grapist acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Grapist walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Henderson is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Henderson tries to bum rush Grapist with a series of wild strikes but Grapist uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Henderson feints a jab promting Grapist to slip. Henderson then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Grapist slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Henderson wants to land a leg kick but Grapist is out of range.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Grapist misses with a takedown

and Henderson counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Henderson showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Henderson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Grapist swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Grapist is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Grapist being controlled here, momentarily.
Henderson has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Jordan Henderson just wasn't active enough.
Grapist walks into a jab.

Grapist takes a jab right on the kisser.
Henderson scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Henderson goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Henderson has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Grapist clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Henderson connects with a big shot to the side of Grapist's head.

Henderson is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
Grapist rolls, trying to escape but Henderson keeps control of the position.
Grapist wants to control his opponent's hands but Henderson gets his hands free.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Henderson has good solid back control here.
Grapist trying to control the action but Henderson just sinks the hooks in.

And that's the end of the fight!
Jordan Henderson showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Henderson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
