The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cooper shoots for a double leg takedown but Boyd sprawls well. He's pushed Cooper's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Cooper shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Boyd as he jumps to the side.
Nice takedown defense from Boyd. No joy for Cooper on that attempt.
Ray Boyd has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Merv Cooper.
Boyd darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Boyd seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Cooper is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
