Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Antony Biistron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pretzel Vendor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Antony Biistron!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Pretzel Vendor!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Bruno Hogan and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Biistron looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Biistron has Vendor up against the cage in a clinch.

Biistron is fighting off a takedown attempt but Vendor is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Biistron to the mat. Biistron regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Biistron is trying to control the position but Vendor postures up.
Vendor sitting in guard, not really doing much.

Vendor might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Biistron haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Pretzel Vendor has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Vendor swats away the attempt to clinch by Biistron.
Vendor closes the distance and clinches up with Biistron, looking for a takedown. Vendor pushes Biistron against the cage but Biistron circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Vendor looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Biistron is fending him off so far but Vendor persists. Nope, Biistron circles away and we're back to standing.

Vendor closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Biistron to the mat! Biistron manages to get full guard.
Vendor wanted to stand there but Biistron had control of the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Vendor stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Biistron swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Biistron looking to hit a scissor sweep but Vendor is one step ahead there.
Vendor is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Pretzel Vendor hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Antony Biistron has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pretzel Vendor.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Vendor shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Vendor showed some decent athleticism there.
Vendor is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Biistron tries to kick Vendor off but Vendor keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Biistron is staying active underneath Vendor, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Biistron tries to buck Vendor off but Vendor is having none of it.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Biistron is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Vendor off and has taken his back!
Vendor tries to escape but Biistron has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

Nice takedown defense from Biistron. No joy for Vendor on that attempt.

Vendor shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Biistron's guard.

Vendor drops back looking for a leg! Biistron is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Biistron manages to kick Vendor off! Vendor jumps back into Biistron's guard.
Biistron will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Biistron doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Biistron is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Biistron escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Vendor gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Vendor trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Vendor wants to control from the top but Biistron keeps moving.

Pretzel Vendor has got the better of the ground game so far.
Vendor forces his way into half guard.

Vendor seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Vendor wants to work for an arm triangle but Biistron is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Vendor stops Biistron from getting back to his feet.
Vendor uses his free foot to push down on Biistron's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Biistron.

Pretzel Vendor showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Pretzel Vendor was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Vendor throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Biistron's waist but Biistron gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Vendor off to one side.
Biistron tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Vendor manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Biistron drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Vendor escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Biistron gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Antony Biistron.
I think Vendor has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
