Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Billy The Iron Hand (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hondo Lane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Billy The Iron Hand!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hondo Lane!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Daniel Franklin and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lane slips a jab and a cross from The Iron Hand.
Lane tries to clinch there but The Iron Hand circles away.

Lane shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The Iron Hand wants to stand back up but Lane manages to pass into side control.
The Iron Hand is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Lane has just dragged him back down to the mat.
The Iron Hand tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Lane decides to stand back up. Lane steps back and let's The Iron Hand get back to his feet.
The Iron Hand looks for a takedown but Lane sprawls well.

Lane tries to work over The Iron Hand's front leg with a kick but The Iron Hand checks it.

Lane tries for a takedown but The Iron Hand sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Billy The Iron Hand has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hondo Lane.
Lane doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
The Iron Hand throws a head kick but Lane moves out of range.
Horrible takedown by Lane or perhaps it was just good defense by The Iron Hand which made him look bad.

Hondo Lane seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The Iron Hand has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Lane avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The Iron Hand bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Lane's guard.

The Iron Hand is pressing down on Lane's thigh, looking to free his foot. Lane is holding on for now.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

and The Iron Hand counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

The Iron Hand drives through and clinches with Lane against the cage.

The Iron Hand postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Lane is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of The Iron Hand, into his guard.

A close second round but Hondo Lane will probably get the nod - 10:9.

The Iron Hand keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The Iron Hand thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Lane if he has to take too many more of those.
The Iron Hand connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
The Iron Hand throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Lane.
Lane takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

and The Iron Hand moves into the clinch.
The Iron Hand tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Lane smiles and moves away.
Lane circles away from the clinch attempt.
A head kick by Lane misses
and The Iron Hand counters with a head kick. That will keep Lane thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
A telegraphed right hand from Lane misses the target.
The Iron Hand fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Lane.
The Iron Hand throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

Lane needs to keep his hands up - The Iron Hand had a free shot at his head there.
Lane misses with a takedown attempt
and The Iron Hand counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.


Lane is rocked!
Billy The Iron Hand has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hondo Lane.

The Iron Hand throws a leg kick which misses Lane's front leg but catches the back leg as Lane tries to avoid it.
Lane seems to have recovered his senses.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The Iron Hand wants to finish this one by submission but Lane is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from The Iron Hand.
Lane is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Lane can't escape the position.
Lane tries to improve his position but instead The Iron Hand has taken his back!

The Iron Hand is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Lane. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped.

The Iron Hand is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Lane defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now The Iron Hand is on top in guard.

Billy The Iron Hand showed his dominance in that final round.
Well The Iron Hand has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
