The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reaper shoots in for a takedown but Wait shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Wait misses with a hook. Reaper ducked under it nicely.

Wait buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Wait slips a jab and a cross from Reaper.

and Reaper counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Reaper throws a nice looking combination but Wait bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Wait gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Reaper shoots for a double leg takedown but Wait sprawls well. He's pushed Reaper's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Danny Wait has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Devils Reaper.
Reaper throws a series of punches but Wait moves out of range.

Wait tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Reaper was well out of range. Poor timing from Wait.

Reaper ducks right into an uppercut from Wait.

Reaper scores with a nice right hand.
Reaper misses with the combination.
Devils Reaper seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
