The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Cecil Peabody and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Joel throws a hook but Thompson blocks it.
Joel shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Thompson sprawls well. Thompson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Joel gets slowly back to his feet.

Thompson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Joel. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Thompson rolls with it to try and escape but Joel cranks on the arm and Thompson is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
