Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Oberyn Martell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Diego Minotauro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Oberyn Martell could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Diego Minotauro's chin.

The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Richard Clark and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Minotauro gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Martell counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Minotauro wants to clinch but Martell slips to the side
and Martell counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Martell goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Minotauro shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Martell counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Minotauro throws a body kick that misses.
Minotauro darts in and clinches Martell up against the cage.
Minotauro is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Martell gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Oberyn Martell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Diego Minotauro.
Martell's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Martell has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Minotauro is working away from the top position though.

Minotauro looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Minotauro takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Martell darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Oberyn Martell is winning the standup battle so far.
Martell jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Martell throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Minotauro was covering up waiting for the punch and Martell finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Minotauro is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Minotauro shoots for a double leg takedown but Martell sprawls well. He's pushed Minotauro's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Minotauro gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Martell gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Minotauro is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
