Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kenny McCormick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brodie OBrien (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). OBrien has chosen A Warrior's Call by Volbeat as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
OBrien looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
McCormick ducks under a wild hook from OBrien.
McCormick tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. OBrien manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
McCormick closes this distance looking for a takedown but OBrien circles away.
OBrien throws a right hand that McCormick ducks under and follows up with a left that McCormick also avoids with ease.
A decent looking body kick lands there for OBrien.
McCormick misses with a kick to the body.
OBrien throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
OBrien fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
OBrien tries to clinch there but McCormick circles away.
McCormick throws a front kick aimed at OBrien's knee but OBrien avoids it well.
OBrien bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of McCormick's head.
OBrien dives in and grabs McCormick's left leg, looking for a takedown. McCormick pushes down on OBrien's head and hops out.

OBrien throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. McCormick was covering up waiting for the punch and OBrien finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

OBrien is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! McCormick is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! McCormick has escaped and now he's on top!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

McCormick shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. OBrien manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
McCormick slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
OBrien manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. McCormick manages to get himself to full guard.

OBrien has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. McCormick is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

OBrien is trying to trip McCormick. He has hold of a leg but McCormick is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. OBrien persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Kenny McCormick will probably get the nod.

OBrien has hold of McCormick's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and McCormick manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

OBrien has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of McCormick's face.

OBrien is going oldschool here, as he tries to force McCormick to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so McCormick shrugs it off.

OBrien lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
