Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Felix Basilan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sunny Supernova (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Steve Smith and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Supernova avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Basilan scores with a kick to the body.
Basilan dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Basilan lets loose with a powerful body kick. Supernova will feel that in the morning.
Supernova ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Basilan moves away.
Basilan takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
It looks like Felix Basilan has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Supernova misses with an uppercut. Basilan saw that one coming.
Basilan dodges the punch combination from Supernova.
Supernova throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Basilan cracks Supernova with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
It looks like Sunny Supernova has been cut.
Supernova lands a jab.
Basilan thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Supernova if he has to take too many more of those.
Basilan clobbers Supernova with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Supernova tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Basilan paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Supernova throws a low kick but Basilan moves out of range easily.
Basilan jabs at Supernova's body.
Good shot there by Basilan.
Basilan connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Basilan throws a nasty head kick that just misses. He throws another kick to the head of his opponent and almost takes it off! Supernova crumples to the floor and the fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:07 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Felix Basilan!
