Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Elbrys Gora (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kent Phillips (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gora comes into the arena with Cadillac Records - Howlin' Wolf Sings blaring out of the sound system. Kent Phillips told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Phillips pivots, looking for a leg kick but Gora is out of range and Phillips settles back down.

Phillips gets caught napping as Gora dives in and scores a takedown. Phillips manages to retain guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Phillips creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Phillips drops Gora onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Gora is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!

In his post fight interview, Kent Phillips started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
