Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anderson Dos Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cain Velasquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Velasquez closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Dos Santos manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Velasquez tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Velasquez tries to get to full guard but Dos Santos has control of the leg.

Dos Santos is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Velasquez sees it coming and defends easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dos Santos is taking a breather. Velasquez says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Dos Santos prevents Velasquez from improving his position.

Dos Santos is trying to work for a kimura but Velasquez is defending well.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Dos Santos is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Velasquez doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Dos Santos.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Velasquez is looking to regain half guard here but Dos Santos keeps moving and retains side control.

Dos Santos has an Americana. Velasquez didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Dos Santos is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Dos Santos hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
