The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hertz throws out a leg kick but St Clair moves out of range and Hertz only half commits.
St Clair keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Hertz shoots in and drives through. St Clair sprawls well.

Hertz fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. St Clair sprawls well initially but Hertz persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Hertz wants to take a breather but St Clair is having none of it.
St Clair tries to get to full guard but Hertz has control of the leg.
Hertz wants to control but St Clair is keeping him busy.
St Clair is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Hertz has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, St Clair has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Hertz is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But St Clair has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from St Clair!

St Clair is desperately trying to improve his position but Hertz has a good base and remains in mount.

Hertz is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Hertz!
