PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Marcos Dias (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dias comes to the cage accompanied by Te esperando. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Dias clobbers Smith with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

It looks like Kevin Smith has been cut.
Dias misses with a wild combination.
A jab from Dias does it's job there.

Dias jumps guard but Smith turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Smith has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Dias is trying to keep an underhook but Smith manages to get the takedown into half guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Smith seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Dias does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Smith lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Dias circles away quickly and effectively.

Dias gets caught napping as Smith dives in and scores a takedown. Dias manages to retain guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Dias working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Smith doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Smith manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Dias moves into full mount! Smith won't be happy about that!

Dias goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Smith turns into him and now he's in Dias's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Dias pushes a forearm under Smith's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Smith is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

A relieved looking Marcos Dias thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
