The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Dean Styles and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fontes misses with a head kick.
Nice uppercut lands for Chikatilo. That snapped Fontes's head back.
Fontes tries to clinch but Chikatilo moves out of range.
Fontes doesn't manage to clinch there - Chikatilo circles away.
Fontes feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Chikatilos jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Fontes throws a wild body kick that Chikatilo sees coming a mile off.
Fontes tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Nice uppercut lands for Chikatilo. That snapped Fontes's head back.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Chikatilo circles away from the clinch attempt
so Chikatilo counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Chikatilo with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Chikatilo trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Fontes avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Chikatilo wants to control from the top but Fontes keeps moving.

Chikatilo is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Chikatilo throws an elbow that misses. Fontes uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Chikatilo's guard. Nice move by Fontes!

Chikatilo is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Chikatilo perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Fontes avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Chikatilo.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Fontes can do anything to dispel that myth.
Fontes is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Chikatilo scores with a couple of nice shots.

Chikatilo is nestled in close to Fontes, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Chikatilo is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Fontes has managed to escape the submission attempt.
