Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Joe Ruden!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Grimmjow JaggerJack!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Sergei Dronov and Aleksei Zolotukhin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
JaggerJack connects with a leg kick. Ruden looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

It looks like Joe Ruden has been cut.

JaggerJack gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Ruden fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Ruden fakes high and swings low for a body shot but JaggerJack manages to avoid it.
Ruden fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches JaggerJack on the side of the head.
Ruden is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by JaggerJack.
JaggerJack throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
JaggerJack moves out of range of the body kick.
Ruden shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with JaggerJack but JaggerJack pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Grimmjow JaggerJack seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Ruden has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Ruden thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

JaggerJack takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

That was a close round but I would say that Joe Ruden will probably get the nod.

Ruden shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as JaggerJack sprawls well. JaggerJack wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ruden gets slowly back to his feet.
Ruden pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

JaggerJack lands a leg kick that knocks Ruden off balance momentarily.
JaggerJack throws a low kick but it's checked well by Ruden.

JaggerJack uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ruden.
A nice leg kick lands there from JaggerJack.
JaggerJack throws a wild body kick that Ruden sees coming a mile off.

Ruden swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

JaggerJack ducks under a wild hook from Ruden.
JaggerJack lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Nice uppercut lands for Ruden. That snapped JaggerJack's head back.
JaggerJack lands a body shot.
Ruden tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and JaggerJack is able to avoid easily.
Ruden throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around JaggerJack's waist but JaggerJack gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ruden off to one side.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Ruden tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but JaggerJack was well out of range. Poor timing from Ruden.
JaggerJack uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Ruden.

and Ruden counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for JaggerJack!
Ruden misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ruden tries to advance to mount but JaggerJack denies him.
JaggerJack tries to buck Ruden off but Ruden is having none of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!



Ruden throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. JaggerJack was covering up waiting for the punch and Ruden finishes the takedown easily into guard.
JaggerJack looking for a sweep. Not yet JaggerJack, not yet.

JaggerJack throws his legs up looking for a submission but Ruden uses it to pass to side control.
JaggerJack is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Ruden is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. JaggerJack looks calm but he's in trouble here. Ruden gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. JaggerJack is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Ruden lets go of the hold and JaggerJack can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:52 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Joe Ruden!
During a confident post fight interview, Joe Ruden thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
