Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Will Davenport!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ewan Ker!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ker tries to clinch but Davenport is having none of it.
Ker has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Davenport.
Davenport connects with a high kick.
Ker tries to score a power double leg takedown but Davenport sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ker somewhat.
Davenport fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Ker has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Ker on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ker will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Davenport scores with a leg kick.
Davenport throws a head kick that half lands.
Ker is rocked!
Ker tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Davenport counters with a head kick from the bowels of hell that crumples Ker! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Will Davenport!
