Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jacob Andersen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Esdrubal Caradeorinol (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Caradeorinol has chosen http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I4Far7J-cb8 as his entrance music. Esdrubal Caradeorinol struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 147.2lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Jacob Andersen has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Esdrubal Caradeorinol!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Roger Salmon and Colin Fray.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Caradeorinol shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Caradeorinol showed some decent athleticism there.
Andersen keeping control of the position.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Caradeorinol in particular looking to stall.
Andersen is concentrating on defense, preventing Caradeorinol from advancing position.
Andersen really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Andersen has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Andersen swings around for an armbar but Caradeorinol sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Andersen's guard.
Andersen bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Caradeorinol's guard.

Andersen is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Caradeorinol doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Andersen.

That was a close round but I would say that Jacob Andersen will probably get the nod.

It looks like Jacob Andersen has been cut.

Oh Andersen is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Caradeorinol breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Caradeorinol shoots in for a takedown but Andersen shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Caradeorinol stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Andersen swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Andersen wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Andersen goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Caradeorinol has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Andersen but great work by Caradeorinol.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jacob Andersen.

A very excited looking Jacob Andersen rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
