Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akerei throws a hook but Aldgridge avoids it easily.
Aldgridge misses with the combination.
Aldgridge fails with a takedown attempt.
Akerei throws a leg kick which misses Aldgridge's front leg but catches the back leg as Aldgridge tries to avoid it.
Akerei blocks a head kick by Aldgridge.
Aldgridge throws a sloppy head kick and Akerei moves out of range easily.

Aldgridge tries to clinch there but Akerei circles away.
A slow jab from Akerei misses its intended target.
Aldgridge misses with a takedown
and Akerei counters with a nice low kick that buckles Aldgridge's knee momentarily.
Aldgridge fails with an attempt to clinch.
Akerei lands a leg kick that knocks Aldgridge off balance momentarily.
Akerei lands with an overhand left.

Akerei leaves Aldgridge with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Aldgridge fails with an attempt to clinch.
Aldgridge has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Akerei finds it's way round the side to connect with Aldgridge's head.

Aldgridge shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Akerei pinned against the cage. Akerei gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Akerei defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Aldgridge.

Aldgridge changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Akerei tries to avoid it but Aldgridge manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Akerei to the ground. Akerei escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Aldgridge wants to clinch but Akerei slips to the side
and Akerei counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Aldgridge fails to land with a series of punches.
Aldgridge tries to clinch up but Akerei circles away and keeps his distance.

Aldgridge throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Nice defenses there by Aldgridge.
Aldgridge shoots in for a takedown but Akerei shows good takedown defense.
Aldgridge tries to close the distance and clinch but Akerei swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Akerei scores with a jab to the head.

That was a close round but I would say that Marcus Aldgridge will probably get the nod.

Aldgridge shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Akerei pinned against the cage. Akerei gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Aldgridge motions for Akerei to come forward. Aldgridge throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Akerei keeps the fight on the outside.
The fight stays on the outside here - Aldgridge looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Akerei swats away the attempt to clinch by Aldgridge.
Aldgridge tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Akerei is looking to slow Aldgridge down with leg kicks.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Aldgridge tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Akerei paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Akerei wants to break free but Aldgridge has control.

Aldgridge has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Akerei is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Aldgridge tries to break the clinch but Akerei is controlling the position.

Aldgridge has Akerei pressed against the cage, preventing Akerei from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Akerei has had enough of the clinch but Aldgridge keeps him there for the moment.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Akerei is staying active underneath Aldgridge, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Akerei really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Aldgridge. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Akerei is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Aldgridge has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Aldgridge is putting a hurting on Akerei here, landing some big shots from side control.
Akerei tries to escape but Aldgridge is in control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Akerei takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! And we move into the final round!

Akerei closes the distance and lands a one-two.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Aldgridge here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
Akerei stalks Aldgridge and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Aldgridge's face. Aldgridge staggers backwards, shaken.
Aldgridge tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Akerei swivels and escapes.
Aldgridge really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Aldgridge bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Aldgridge shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Akerei misses with a wild combination.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Akerei rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Aldgridge moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Akerei goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Akerei connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Akerei throws a big shot that misses.
Akerei throws a right and a left that Aldgridge avoids nicely.
Aldgridge shoots for a double leg takedown but Akerei sprawls well. He's pushed Aldgridge's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Aldgridge tries to close the distance and clinch up but Akerei swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Aldgridge shoots in for a takedown but Akerei shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Akerei avoids the head kick by Aldgridge.
Aldgridge fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
A head kick misses from Aldgridge.
Aldgridge fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Good leg kick by Akerei there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Akerei scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Some bone on bone action there as Akerei checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Aldgridge thows a leg kick but Akerei checks it
and Akerei connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Aldgridge takes one to the side of the head.
Aldgridge with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Akerei to score with a decent uppercut.

And that's the end of the fight!
Pelco Akerei comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Aldgridge has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
