Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steve Simon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Wayne Hanson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Simon comes to the ring accompanied by Down With The Sickness. Steve Simon has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hanson closes the distance and clinches.

Simon stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hanson swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
A lull in the action here.
Hanson should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Simon shoots in looking for a takedown. Hanson tries to sprawl out of it but Simon keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Hanson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

and Simon counters with a shoot takedown. Hanson fights it but they end up in guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
