PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chris Redfield (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Malsom Kima (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Redfield comes to the cage accompanied by Resident Evil Movie Theme. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Chris Redfield!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Malsom Kima!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Marco Blurström.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kima throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Redfield throws a head kick that misses.

Kima has closed the distance and engaged Redfield in a clinch.
Kima pushes Redfield back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Redfield is trying to force a seperation but Kima has the dominant position.
Redfield leaning his opponent against the cage.
Kima lands a hook that snaps the head of Redfield backwards.

Kima has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Redfield clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Redfield trying to control the hands but Kima breaks the grip.
Kima really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Redfield.
Redfield is keeping busy.
Kima biding his time, controlling Redfield.

Redfield rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

Redfield moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Redfield escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kima gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Kima slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Malsom Kima.
Redfield swats away the attempt to clinch by Kima.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kima looks to land a left hand but Redfield moved out of range nicely.
Kima doesn't manage to clinch there - Redfield circles away.
Redfield takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

It looks like Chris Redfield has been cut.
Kima throws a head kick but Redfield moves out of range.
Redfield thumps Kima with a low kick.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Redfield bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops Kima! He dives into his guard looking to finish!

Kima is rocked!

It looks like Malsom Kima has been cut.

Redfield drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Redfield seems to have locked his on tight now - Kima screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Redfield, as he picks up the win!
