Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, James Kingsley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Marcus Rezende Jr!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Roosa Järviläinen and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rezende Jr on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Rezende Jr gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Kingsley counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Kingsley ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Rezende Jr moves away.
Kingsley moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Kingsley throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Rezende Jr doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Kingsley counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Kingsley tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Rezende Jr was well out of range. Poor timing from Kingsley.
A left lands for Kingsley.
Kingsley ducks under a wild hook from Rezende Jr.
Kingsley lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Rezende Jr at a distance.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Rezende Jr shoots in looking for a takedown. Kingsley tries to sprawl out of it but Rezende Jr keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kingsley manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
James Kingsley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marcus Rezende Jr.
Kingsley lands with a hook. Rezende Jr tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Rezende Jr doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Kingsley counters with a lovely shot to the body.

Rezende Jr shoots in for a takedown but Kingsley shows good takedown defense.

Rezende Jr moves out of range as Kingsley strikes.
Rezende Jr does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

and Kingsley counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Marcus Rezende Jr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kingsley sizes up Rezende Jr with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Rezende Jr throws out a loose jab but Kingsley uses good head movement to avoid it.
Rezende Jr seems to have recovered his senses.
Rezende Jr closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kingsley circles away.
Rezende Jr fails with the takedown
and Kingsley counters with a left to the body.
Rezende Jr looks winded!

Kingsley lands a nice shot that snaps Rezende Jr's head back.
Rezende Jr shoots and misses
enabling Kingsley to counter with a crisp jab.
Rezende Jr has his takedown stuffed
and Kingsley counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Kingsley circles away before darting back in with a big straight right hand. It connects beautifully and sends Rezende Jr tumbling to the canvas! He's out cold! Kingsley wins by KO!

James Kingsley was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
