The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from McGinley does no damage.
Mikael Lindel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McGinley misses the shot to the body.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Lindel.
Lindel's jab looks to have found its range, popping McGinley under the eye.
McGinley throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Lindel lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but McGinley circles away quickly and effectively.
McGinley tries to land a leg kick but Lindel saw it coming and moves away.
Lindel shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts McGinley as he jumps to the side.
McGinley connects with a high kick.

It looks like Mikael Lindel has been cut.
McGinley jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Lindel fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but McGinley avoids it really well and circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mikael Lindel. That's going to take a lot out of him.
McGinley throws a leg kick but Lindel sees it coming and checks it nicely.

McGinley throws a head kick that misses.
Lindel misses with a takedown attempt - McGinley sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
A decent looking body kick lands there for McGinley.
Anderson McGinley is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Lindel throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around McGinley's waist but McGinley gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lindel off to one side.
Lindel takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
McGinley throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Lindel gets cracked with a nice right hand there by McGinley.

Lindel throws a body punch but McGinley moves out of range.
McGinley pounces like a tiger and cracks Lindel with a vicious hook! Lindel is down but not out! McGinley follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
