Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tofiga Kahagas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Logan Ironside (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Logan Ironside is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tofiga Kahagas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Logan Ironside!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kahagas swats away the attempt to clinch by Ironside.

Kahagas tries to keep at a distance but Ironside has taken the fight into the clinch.

Kahagas gets control of Ironside's arms and successfully pulls guard. Kahagas will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Ironside in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Kahagas is trying to keep Ironside in close.
Ironside works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Kahagas is trying to control but can't.
Ironside throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Kahagas is staying active underneath Ironside, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Ironside is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Kahagas sees it coming and defends easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kahagas throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Ironside tries to stand and escape but Kahagas actually recovers to full guard.

Kahagas is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Ironside is aware though and is defending well.

Kahagas is looking for a triangle here but Ironside uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Ironside wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kahagas keeps working.

Ironside tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Ironside has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Ironside decides to stand back up. Ironside steps back and let's Kahagas get back to his feet.

Kahagas has Ironside up against the cage in a clinch.
Ironside is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Kahagas gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Ironside pulls guard effortlessly.
Kahagas tries to free his leg and advance position but Ironside is retaining full guard.
Kahagas seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Kahagas's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Ironside is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are battling for position here. Kahagas manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ironside accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Ironside stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Ironside tries for a takedown but Kahagas sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Ironside darts in trying to clinch
and Kahagas counters with a straight right hand.
Kahagas closes this distance looking for a takedown but Ironside circles away.

Kahagas gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Kahagas wants a takedown but no success here.

Ironside pulls guard.
Ironside looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kahagas is one step ahead there.

Ironside is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Kahagas is aware though and is defending well.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ironside trying to keep a closed guard but Kahagas is proving a slippery customer.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kahagas in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Logan Ironside dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Ironside has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Kahagas shoots for a takedown but Ironside saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Ironside is trying hard to land a takedown here. Kahagas sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Kahagas stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Ironside.
Kahagas shoots in looking for a takedown but Ironside manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kahagas's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Ironside will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Kahagas circles away from the clinch attempt.
Tofiga Kahagas is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Kahagas clinches.
Kahagas tries to break the clinch but Ironside is controlling the position.
Ironside missing with knees to the body.
Ironside jumps guard but Kahagas stands there with Ironside around his waist. Ironside gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Tofiga Kahagas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Logan Ironside.
Kahagas wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Ironside is pressed up against the cage. Kahagas has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Ironside down to the mat. Ironside avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Kahagas rushes Ironside and presses him up against the cage.
Ironside avoiding damage as Kahagas throws knees to the body.
Ironside is looking for a takedown.
Ironside jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Kahagas walks away with a smile on his face. Ironside gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Ironside looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Ironside is breathing heavily.
Ironside is looking to clinch but Kahagas is avoiding it.

Ironside looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Kahagas throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Kahagas is looking to improve his position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Ironside is trying for a kimura here. Kahagas looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Ironside wins by kimura!
