The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abdu tries to bum rush Whitaker with a series of wild strikes but Whitaker uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Whitaker bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Whitaker tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Whitaker has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Abdu wants to get back to his feet but Whitaker drags him back down.

Abdu really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Whitaker. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Gabriel Whitaker spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
