The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Box uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jicola.
Box misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
The crowd cheers as Box lands an impressive looking overhand right. Jicola doesn't seem phased though.
A punch combination from Box misses.
Jicola takes a swing at Box's ribcage but misses.
Gauge Box seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Box lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Box falls off balance throwing a combination
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Jicola throws a sloppy head kick and Box moves out of range easily.
Box connects with a looping right hand.
A lazy left from Box finds it's target.
Box throws a series of strikes that have Jicola backpedaling.
Box lands a two punch combo.
Box looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Box lands the left hand.
Jicola throws a head kick that misses.

Jicola drops Box with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Box looks back up at him and smiles so Jicola waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

It looks like Gauge Box has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jicola throws a head kick that misses.
A head kick misses from Jicola.
Jicola misses with a body shot.
Box misses with a jab, cross combination.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jicola connects with a leg kick. Box looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Box is breathing heavily.

Jicola lands a big uppercut and Box crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Box looks OK. Jicola waves Box back to his feet!

Box is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Box goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Oh Box is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Jicola ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Box is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Jicola doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Box crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Box's bad books for that mishap!
