Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marek Contofalsky!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Albert Fish!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Robert Twigg and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fish tries to clinch
and Contofalsky counters with a body kick that stops Fish in his tracks momentarily.

Contofalsky bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Fish wants to control but Contofalsky postures up.
Fish might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Contofalsky haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Fish manages to get back to half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Contofalsky tries to pass to full mount but Fish defends it.
Contofalsky is keen to just control but Fish is a slippery customer.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Contofalsky in particular looking to stall.

Fish is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

and Contofalsky counters with a nice double leg into side control. Fish won't be happy with that.

Contofalsky tries to score with some ground and pound. Fish controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Fish parries the strikes from Contofalsky easily there. Contofalsky is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Fish to escape.
Fish is trying to control Contofalsky's posture but Contofalsky avoids it.
Contofalsky misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

and Fish takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Fish misses with a takedown attempt - Contofalsky sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Fish looks to throw the jab but Contofalsky is out of range.

and Contofalsky counters with a big head kick but Fish shrugs it off.
Fish throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Contofalsky's waist but Contofalsky gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Fish off to one side.

Contofalsky fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Fish to the ground. Contofalsky is now in Fish's guard.
Contofalsky seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Fish looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Contofalsky has picked Fish up and slammed him! Fish can't keep hold of the triangle and Contofalsky manages to pass to side control!
Contofalsky moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Contofalsky's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Fish is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Fish has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Contofalsky is working away from the top position though.

Fish is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Contofalsky is staying active.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Fish shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Contofalsky defends it nicely.

Fish closes the distance and clinches up with Contofalsky, looking for a takedown. Fish pushes Contofalsky against the ropes but Contofalsky circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Fish shoots in looking for a takedown. Contofalsky tries to sprawl out of it but Fish keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Contofalsky manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Contofalsky got a little sloppy there for a moment and Fish has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Contofalsky has managed to get both his arms back between Fish's legs - danger averted.

Fish has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Contofalsky is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Fish.
