The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Symbol scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Ironside takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Symbol circles away from the clinch attempt.
Ironside is looking to clinch but Symbol is avoiding it.

Symbol cracks Ironside with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Prince Symbol seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Symbol moves into range and connects with a jab.

Symbol lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ironside gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Symbol stuns Ironside with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Ironside looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Symbol is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Ironside is looking to clinch.
Symbol punishes Ironside's body with a nice straight punch.
Ironside shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Symbol as he jumps to the side.

Symbol lands a jab to the nose.
Symbol cracks Ironside with a right hand to the side of the head.
Ironside throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Symbol lands a nice shot that snaps Ironside's head back.
Symbol scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Ironside tries to close the distance and clinch but Symbol swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Good exchange - Symbol coming out on top.
Symbol is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Ironside had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Ironside shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Symbol sprawls well. Symbol wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ironside gets slowly back to his feet.
Ironside walks into a stiff left hand from Symbol.
Ironside takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Symbol connects with a body shot that sends Ironside's belly button to the back.
Oh Ironside is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Ironside walks straight into a right hand from Symbol - that's dropped him! Symbol jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Ironside from any more punishment! Ironside complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
