Sankari throws out a loose jab but Marko uses good head movement to avoid it.
Marko moves out of range of the body kick from Sankari.

Sankari bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Marko's head backwards.
It looks like Cain Marko has been cut.

Sankari pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Marko missing with a left hand there. Sankari was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Marko misses with an uppercut. Sankari saw that one coming.
Marko takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Sankari smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Nyrkki Sankari seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sankari pivots, looking for a leg kick but Marko is out of range and Sankari settles back down.
Sankari takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Sankari takes a swing at Marko's ribcage but misses.
Marko moves out of range of the body kick from Sankari.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Sankari lands a slapping body shot.
Marko bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
That has opened up Nyrkki Sankari's cut even more.

and Marko counters with a straight right hand.
Sankari throws a sloppy head kick and Marko moves out of range easily.
Sankari swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Marko scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Sankari walks straight into a right hand from Marko - that's dropped him! Marko jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Sankari from any more punishment! Sankari complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Cain Marko!
