Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jet Ling (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shinya Funaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shinya Funaki has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Jet Ling's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Taro Takaoka and Yukihiro Shimada.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Funaki tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ling swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Shinya Funaki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ling wants to clinch up but Funaki keeps it at a distance.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Ling shoots in and drives through. Funaki sprawls well.
Funaki throws a series of punches but Ling avoids them all with ease.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Ling creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Ling uses his free foot to push down on Funaki's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Funaki.

Ling postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Funaki looks a forlorn figure.
