Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nicky Brindley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Miller has chosen The Black Angels as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Nicky Brindley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ryan Miller!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, George Francis and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brindley throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Brindley will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Brindley has a takedown stuffed.
Miller throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Miller fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Miller scores with a shot to the body.
Brindley displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Miller throws out the jab.
Brindley is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Miller misses the shot to the body.

Brindley closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Miller did well to prevent Brindley getting side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Brindley ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Brindley tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Miller paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Miller lands with a nice combination. Brindley backs away looking to recover.
Miller on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Miller lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Brindley circles away quickly and effectively.
Brindley connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Miller's hands.
Brindley shoots in for a takedown but Miller shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Brindley avoids a punch combination nicely.
Miller throws a low kick, looking for Brindley's leg but Brindley calmly moves out of range.
Ryan Miller is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Miller throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

Miller misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Brindley.
Brindley comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Miller tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Brindley is able to avoid easily.
Miller throws a nice looking combination but Brindley bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Brindley takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Brindley ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
A combination from Miller does no damage.
Miller looks winded!

Nice takedown defense from Miller. No joy for Brindley on that attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nicky Brindley. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Miller lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Miller.
Miller ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Brindley moves away.

Miller gets tackled into the cage by Brindley. Brindley maintains the clinch.
A short right from Brindley on the inside.
Brindley lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Brindley pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Miller throws a nice looking combination but Brindley bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Some wild striking there from Miller.
Brindley moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Brindley checks a leg kick.
Miller with a hook.
Miller throws an off balance right hand
and Brindley counters with a nice body shot.
Brindley ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Miller moves away.
Brindley shoots in looking for a takedown. Miller tries to sprawl out of it but Brindley keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Miller manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Brindley throws a right and a left that both miss.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Brindley is looking to clinch but Miller is avoiding it.
Miller with a nice cross.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Brindley misses with a jab, cross combination.
Miller tests Brindley's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Miller takes one on the button.

Miller cracks Brindley with an uppercut from hell and Brindley crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Miller's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!


Brindley is rocked!

Miller gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Oh Brindley is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Miller lands a jab and follows it up with a massive straight that knocks Brindley out cold! Brindley is crumpled in the corner, his head only propped up by the cage! That's one for the organiziational promos right there! Wow, what a finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Ryan Miller!
Ryan Miller was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
