Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Branson OToole (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vince Heasley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). OToole comes to the cage accompanied by Danny Boy. Branson OToole could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Vince Heasley's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Heasley goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Nice straight punches there by OToole. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of OToole.
A punch lands to the side of Heasley 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Horrible takedown by Heasley or perhaps it was just good defense by OToole which made him look bad.
OToole slaps away a takedown attempt from Heasley, before circling back to the center of the mat.
OToole throws a big shot that misses.
OToole thuds his right hand into Heasley's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

It looks like Vince Heasley has been cut.

Heasley closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming OToole to the mat! OToole manages to get full guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Heasley slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
OToole looking to hit a scissor sweep but Heasley is one step ahead there.

Heasley drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Heasley jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Heasley drops back looking for a leg! OToole is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and OToole manages to kick Heasley off! Heasley jumps back into OToole's guard.
OToole tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Heasley drops back, looking for a kneebar! OToole looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. OToole looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from OToole!
Heasley is looking for a sweep.
OToole wants to lay and pray for a moment but Heasley keeps working.
Heasley tries to improve position but can't.

Heasley tries to bench press OToole off him but OToole keeps the position.

OToole is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Heasley's shoulder. That is not cool.

OToole throws a big right hand that misses.

Heasley had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. OToole defends it easily.

Heasley will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
OToole misses with a body shot.
OToole takes a swing at Heasley's ribcage but misses.
Heasley uses good head movement to avoid the hook from OToole.
Heasley tries for a takedown but OToole sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
OToole lands with an uppercut that bounces Heasley off the cage and back into range.
OToole avoids the body shot from Heasley.
Heasley ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
OToole misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Heasley.
Heasley uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by OToole.
Heasley shoots in for a double leg but OToole sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Branson OToole has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vince Heasley.
Heasley gets cracked there but stands up to it.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Heasley walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Heasley closes the distance and clinches up with OToole, looking for a takedown. Heasley pushes OToole against the cage but OToole circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
OToole uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
A right-left combo lands from Heasley.
Heasley tries to score a power double leg takedown but OToole sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Heasley somewhat.

Heasley closes the distance and clinches up with OToole, looking for a takedown. Heasley pushes OToole against the cage but OToole circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Still in the clinch, OToole scores with a nice short uppercut.
Heasley fails to pull guard.
Heasley tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. OToole smiles and moves away.
Heasley dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Heasley throws a body punch but OToole moves out of range.

OToole digs a good body shot into Heasley's ribs.
Heasley is breathing heavily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Heasley throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. OToole tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Heasley is in OToole's guard.
Heasley trying to control the position from guard on top but OToole is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
OToole has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Heasley has passed into side control.
OToole knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Heasley on the ground.
Heasley gets to mount! OToole was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
OToole wants to hold on but Heasley pushes him away.
OToole has given up his back here. Will Heasley look for the submission or keep pounding away?

Heasley is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. OToole has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Heasley has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! OToole taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Heasley doesn't care though - he's delighted!
