Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hironobu Uematsu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Black Belt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Uematsu comes into the arena with Primus - Laquer Head blaring out of the sound system. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Hironobu Uematsu!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Black Belt!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, James Ackerman and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Belt on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Uematsu. Uematsu obviously looking to wear him down.
Uematsu lands a jab-cross combination.
Uematsu throws a combination that misses

and Belt counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Belt wants to control but Uematsu is keeping him busy.
Belt thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Belt is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Belt is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Uematsu is just riding it out for now. Belt eventually gives up the hold.

Belt has gone for a leg lock! Uematsu slips out almost immediately though and dives into Belt's guard.

Belt looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Uematsu passes into side control.
Belt tries to bench press Uematsu off him but Uematsu keeps the position.
Uematsu trying to control the action but Belt is working from the bottom.
Belt is looking for a sweep.

Uematsu takes a little break here. Belt wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

Uematsu decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Hironobu Uematsu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Uematsu misses with a wild body shot.
Uematsu goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Belt goes for a double leg but Uematsu avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Uematsu continues to drive forward.
Uematsu is leaning against Belt and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Uematsu works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Uematsu creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Belt goes for a takedown attempt but Uematsu pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Uematsu lands a jab to the nose.
Uematsu rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Belt moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Belt uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Uematsu.
Uematsu goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hironobu Uematsu dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Belt fails with a takedown attempt.
Uematsu scores with a decent looking hook.
Uematsu digs a good body shot into Belt's ribs.
A chopping leg kick lands by Uematsu.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Belt is defended easily by Uematsu.
Uematsu feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Belts jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Uematsu lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Uematsu throws a lazy right hand but Belt sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Uematsu lands with a thumping leg kick.
Uematsu fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Belt looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Belt is breathing heavily.

Uematsu clinches up against the cage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Uematsu lands with a light punch inside.
Uematsu effectively controlling the action here.
Uematsu seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression.
Uematsu tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Belt's elbow.
Uematsu's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Belt jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Uematsu walks away with a smile on his face. Belt gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Hironobu Uematsu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Black Belt.
Uematsu darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Uematsu lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Uematsu lands a shot to the body.
Uematsu lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Uematsu lands a left hand.
Uematsu is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Belt can do to turn this around?

Uematsu drops Belt with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Belt looks back up at him and smiles so Uematsu waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Uematsu lands with a good body shot.
Belt seems to have recovered his senses.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Belt gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Uematsu gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Belt is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:42 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Hironobu Uematsu!
