The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Donk. MacLean catches Saarinen right on the button with a cross.
MacLean stuffs the takedown attempt from Saarinen. Saarinen gets slowly back to his feet.
MacLean should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Saarinen throws a sloppy head kick and MacLean moves out of range easily.
Saarinen shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Saarinen shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has MacLean pinned against the cage. MacLean gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Niko Saarinen. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Saarinen throws a head kick but MacLean moves out of range.
Saarinen closes the distance and clinches up with MacLean, looking for a takedown. Saarinen pushes MacLean against the ropes but MacLean circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
