PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yukii Ogata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and RZ Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ogata's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Eminem - Not Afraid. RZ Silva will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice body punch from Silva.
Silva uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Silva smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Ogata is looking to clinch but Silva is avoiding it.

Ogata fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Silva, pushing him back against the cage.

Silva is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Ogata takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Ogata breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Silva throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Ogata on the side of the head.

Ogata closes the distance and pushes Silva back into the cage.

The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Ogata for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure.

Silva pulls Ogata into guard.
Ogata wanted to stand there but Silva had control of the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Silva is working an open guard so Ogata takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Silva scores with a jab. Ogata acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Ogata doesn't manage to clinch there - Silva circles away.

Silva is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Ogata had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Silva stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Silva might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Silva lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Ogata circles away quickly and effectively.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Silva comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Ogata gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Silva gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
