Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Flynn Rider (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andreas Taake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Flynn Rider!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Andreas Taake!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Daniel Blasius and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taake fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rider manages to avoid it.
Taake moves to clinch but Rider breaks away

and Rider moves into the clinch.

Rider breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Taake jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Rider avoids a punch combination nicely.
Taake connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Rider bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Rider tries to stand but Taake is controlling his head.
Taake throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land.
Taake is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Rider tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Taake tries to control but Rider manages to take his back.
Taake looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
Rider controlling the position well here. Taake rolled but Rider kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
Taake tries to break free.
Rider is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

Rider lands an elbow to the side of the head.

Rider is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Taake just trying to survive but Rider is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
Taake tries to roll but Rider sticks to his back.
Taake controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.
Rider could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Rider is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Taake. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped.

Rider really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Taake.
Rider not allowing Taake to control his hands.
Taake is keeping busy.
Rider keeps control of the position as Taake tries to break free.
Taake covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.
Taake trying to control the hands but Rider breaks the grip.

Rider biding his time, looking for the opening.
Taake is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Taake wants to control his opponent's hands but Rider gets his hands free.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rider looking to soften up his opponent with punches.
Taake holding both Rider 's hands and preventing any damage.
Rider just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
This has been an exciting period of action!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Taake closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
You can see the frustration on Rider's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Rider sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Rider slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Taake prevents Rider from getting back to his feet.
Rider can't keep his opponent in guard - Taake advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Taake is stalling here. Rider is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Taake seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Rider has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Taake is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
You can see the frustration on Taake's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

The referee asks Rider politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Rider prefers to stall for the moment though.
Taake regains half guard.
Rider prevents Taake from improving his position.
Taake is breathing heavily.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Rider in particular looking to stall.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Taake wants to get back to his feet.
Rider looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Flynn Rider just wasn't active enough.
Taake throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Andreas Taake seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Rider rushes Taake and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Rider tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Rider fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Rider breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Rider swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Taake counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Taake clinches up against the cage.

Rider pulls guard successfully.
Rider lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Taake!
Rider content just to control the position here.
Taake manages to regain half guard. Good work.

Taake looks like he's trying to stand up.
Taake gets full guard.
Taake manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Rider manages to get himself to full guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Taake trying to control the position from guard on top but Rider is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Rider wants to sweep but no luck.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Andreas Taake will probably get the nod - 10:9.

Taake moves into range and clinches up with Rider.

Rider breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Nice sprawl there from Taake as Rider shoots in.
Taake scores with a punch to the head.
Taake closes the distance and clinches up with Rider, looking for a takedown. Taake pushes Rider against the cage but Rider circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Taake is looking to clinch but Rider is avoiding it.
Rider looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Rider won't allow Taake to get back to his feet.

Taake is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Rider defends well.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Taake doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Taake seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Taake is trying to keep Rider in close.
Rider trying to control but Taake is working from the bottom.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

We're going to have a standup here because Flynn Rider wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Rider misses with a body kick.
Rider fails to land the takedown.
Taake fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Rider looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Rider blocks a head kick by Taake.
Taake thows a body shot but no joy.
Rider takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Taake looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Nice body punch from Taake.
Taake misses with a few strikes there.
Rider looks to score with a jab to the body but Taake is just out of range.
Taake is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Taake swings for the body but Rider moves out of range.

Rider rushes Taake and presses him up against the cage.

Rider's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Taake displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Rider.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Flynn Rider. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Taake lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Flynn Rider is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Rider fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Taake, pushing him back against the cage.

Taake tries to circle away but Rider has him pinned against the cage.
Taake wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Rider has him pressed against the cage.

Rider's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Rider looks to land a left hand but Taake moved out of range nicely.
Taake lands a high kick!
Rider looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Taake misses with a head kick.
Taake avoids the head kick by Rider.
Taake misses with a kick to the body.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Rider shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Taake defends it nicely.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Rider shoots in but no luck this time.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Andreas Taake.
I think Taake has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
