Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Greg Gone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Diaz comes to the cage accompanied by power. Greg Gone is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Mike Diaz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Greg Gone!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Richard Clark and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz throws a head kick but Gone moves out of range.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Diaz drags the fight down to the ground.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Diaz is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Gone is aware though and is defending well.
Diaz wants to sweep here but Gone controlling him for the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Diaz is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Gone throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Gone postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Diaz is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Gone, into his guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Diaz accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Diaz trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Gone has eaten all the pies!
Gone controlling the position.
Diaz trying to control the position from guard on top but Gone is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Diaz pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Gone is keeping the position for now.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Mike Diaz.
Diaz shoots for a double leg takedown but Gone sprawls well. He's pushed Diaz's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Gone looks to land a combination but Diaz avoids it well.

Diaz moves into the clinch.

Diaz jumps guard and drags Gone to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Gone is looking to work some ground and pound but Diaz has wrist control.
Diaz is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Gone looking to sit in guard and control but Diaz gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Diaz seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Gone does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Diaz winds up and cracks Gone with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Gone takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Gone prevents Diaz from getting back to his feet.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Gone stuffs the takedown attempt from Diaz. Diaz gets slowly back to his feet.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Diaz is defended easily by Gone.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mike Diaz. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Diaz tries to score a power double leg takedown but Gone sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Diaz somewhat.

Gone is looking to take a break and control but Diaz is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Greg Gone comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
