The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Washburn dodges the punch combination from Nambara.
Nambara throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Nambara lands a glancing blow to the side of Washburn's head.
Washburn displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Nambara throws out the jab.
A looping hook to the body misses from Nambara. Washburn does a little dance to reset his feet.
Nambara tries to bum rush Washburn with a series of wild strikes but Washburn uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Washburn defending well as Nambara loads up on a big left hand.
Washburn wants to clinch up but Nambara keeps it at a distance.
Nambara fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Nambara scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Good standup being displayed there by Nambara as he connects with a hook.

It looks like Zoe Washburn has been cut.
Washburn looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Nambara bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Washburn's head.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Nambara looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Washburn shoots for a takedown but Nambara saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Washburn blocks a leg kick.
Nambara swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Nambara throws a left and a right that both miss

and Washburn counters by clinching up.
Nambara lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Washburn is rocked!
Nambara dips a shoulder and cracks Washburn with a mighty uppercut! Washburn falls back against the cage and Nambara unloads with a barrage of strikes! Washburn is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Nambara screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nezu Nambara!
