The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Niska shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says The Great Weasel as he avoids it easily.
Pekka Niska seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Niska looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

The Great Weasel closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Niska to the mat! Niska manages to get full guard.

The Great Weasel tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no The Great Weasel has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The Great Weasel thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Niska could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

The Great Weasel is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Niska has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but The Great Weasel has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Niska taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. The Great Weasel doesn't care though - he's delighted!
